Our last blog for the year!
Entertainment addiction have so many way to affect people, like computer game, club dancing, drug are the entertainment could cause us addicted. The author is correcr about his assessment. The entertainment addiction make us lose the tension that lord tell us on bible that somethings we could not do, also it is a trap in our life to cause the problem on our family. Some entertainment make a trap to wait for us to fall in, but we have to be smart about what we do and our chooses are very important to our life, make one simple mistake could cause forever. But god don't want us to getting control by satan, that is why god tell us on bible, and bible is the lesson he teach us to be success.
ReplyDeletehe is partially right that entertainment is an addiction for us but not everyone has the same trouble as others when it comes to this. some can actually split evenly time with god and tv or other entertainment devices but some do have that problem of not giving god the tie he deserves because there is something on tv, video games, or your computer that seems to take most of your time away because they really want to see it or play it
ReplyDeleteEntertainment can be addicting for certain people. Others find different way to entertain themselves. I don't watch netflix much and I don't spend all my time on my computer or on my phone. I like to go out and experience the world God has created for us and I honestly can turn off the T.V. when I want to. I am not the person who will die if he doesn't see an episode on TV here and there.
ReplyDeleteWell sometimes what this guy is actually does happen where we say let me watch this one show until I finish the series and we are just consumed by what ever entainment that comes and we need to turn from that and go to the Lord our Saviour Jesus Christ and listen to what he has to say and be entertained by Him
ReplyDeleteI understand where the author is coming from when he says that people are consumed by entertainment. I also agree with him when he said that people can connect with each other and meet others through entertainment by just talking about the latest and greatest shows and videos. I believe that entertainment can open paths that have the ability to lead people to Christ.
ReplyDeleteI believe the author does have a point. Entertainment has taken over much of our lives, however, it has also opened up more opportunities for interaction with each other. Books a have lead to book clubs and lots of relationships sprung from similar author favorites or book series. There are even conventions, such as Dragon Con, for other other types entertainment where people can also be around others with similar, and different, opinions.
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on what kind of person you are. Entertainment can be addicting to some people, as where others are not affected to it as much. I believe that the author has a point. Entertainment is a doorway to new opportunities and new friends and meet togethers. Instagram, facebook, Comic Con, ect. Entertainment leads and opens multiple paths for others.
ReplyDeleteEntertainment can be addicting at times. It is also through that most people discover new things and also start building friendships. I agree with the author that entertainment opens a road in many peoples lives for new opportunities and helps great with socialism. Sometimes it's through entertainment that most people learn about God and His wonderful creation and miracles. It opens up a path that can lead most people to Christ.
ReplyDeleteBeing addicted to entertainment had captured a lot of people and it may seem like a bad thing but it could also be good . I know it could take away from bible time and it distracts you from important things but it also has its pros . On Netflix and all over the Internet they have articles and movies that can help you . They can help you get healthy or even break a bad habit . And to me , that doesn't sound all that bad but your life shouldn't revolve around that .
ReplyDeleteAt first, the author seemed as if he was going to be a little too humorous. I thought he was going to exggrate everything. Yet, when I continued to read I realized how true the things he was saying were. We do spend a lot of time indulging in the different forms of entertainment and although these aren't all bad they can distract us from the time we need to spend with God. It is also true, as he pointed out, that Jesus used forms of entertainment to capture people's attention and even their hearts. I think it is all about time management and discernment. We must be smart with the time we decide to devote to entertainment and ensure that it doesn't get in the way of our respsiblities or relationship with Christ. We must make good choices when deciding what specifically to watch, listen to etc. We must make sure that it isn't poisoning our hearts and minds.
ReplyDeleteAs i was reading i realize we had similarities , i dont force myself to watch tv but i do watch netflix and it can get in the way of bible time. I dont think the world is addicted to entertainment but we love to be entertained and that hasn't just started. The human spirit excites at entertainment since the dawn of age. Now, it is so much more accessible so of course people or going to access it more and more. You can go on anything you want whenever in the touch of a button from your smartphone, amazing. If we really want to call ourselves devoted Christians, entertainment or anything else shouldnt get in the way of church. but thats everyones personal choice, free will.
ReplyDeleteHaving an addiction to entertainment isn't always bad, there is some good to it. Entertainment can be a huge distraction when it comes to our time with God. We should be very smart in how we manage our time. Its okay to enjoy ourselves and watch tv or have family time or laugh at the latest vine, but we can't forget to spend time with the one who watches over us and allows us to see another day. We should control what we watch or listen to because the more we feed into bad language or message in the shows or music it can begin to poison minds. We should tone down how much we entertain these certain activities so that we just don't rush our time with God.
